Doha, Qatar: The Investment and Trade Court received a group of children from the Orphan Care Center (Dreama) of the Qatar Social Work Foundation, as part of the “Little Lawyer” programme.
This initiative falls within the court’s role in supporting community-oriented awareness initiatives and familiarising children with the judicial process in a simplified manner suitable for their age.
The visit included children attending in person a session for the pronouncement of judgment in one of the cases, with the objective of apprising them of litigation proceedings and the mechanisms of judicial session progress.
Thereafter, the children toured the court’s facilities, during which they were briefed on the court’s purviews, as well as the judicial services it provides, thereby reinforcing their understanding of the concept of justice and the importance of respecting the law.
President of the Investment and Trade Court, H E Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidly, emphasised that such visits are part of the court’s commitment to bolstering its societal role and promoting legal culture.
