International conspiracy to 'defame India', Congress has doctorate in snooping: Assam CM on Pegasus row

Terming the Pegasus spyware row an "international conspiracy to defame" India, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday that Congress has a "doctorate" in snooping.

Pegasus snooping controversy is an international conspiracy hatched by certain sections to defame India and PM Narendra Modi, said Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. He went on to say that the scandal was a deliberate attempt to create dissatisfaction among the people. The Chief Minister of Assam said such conspiracies pop up whenever India is on its way to achieving a landmark or milestone.
