The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday issued an interim stay on the decision by Vishwa-Bharati University in Shantiniketan to expel three students for three years. The court of Justice Rajashekhar Mantha permitted students to join classes from Thursday. However, separate cases will be filed against the three students and professors who have been temporarily dismissed, for which speedy disposal of cases will be done.
