While the minimum temperature in Srinagar was two degrees Celsius below normal for this time of the year, Ladakh’s Leh recorded a low of minus 12.3 degrees Celsius.
Intense cold conditions continued in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Sunday as Srinagar recorded a low of minus 3.0 degrees Celsius.
A meteorological department official told India Today that the minimum temperature in Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K, was two degrees Celsius below the normal for this time of the year. However, the minimum temperature was above that of Saturday when the mercury fell to minus 3.6 degree Celsius, the lowest temperature recorded so far this season.
