Insurance policy for travellers coming to Qatar via Abu Samra border now available online

Travellers coming to Qatar through the Abu Samra border post can now get the required insurance policy online, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced. "To simplify procedures for those coming to the State of Qatar through the Abu Samra border centre in their cars, they can now get the required insurance policy online through the Qatari Unified Bureau Insurance (QUBI) website without waiting at the insurance counters located in the border centre," the MoI said in a tweet. The website is available at http://online.qubinsurance.com At the same time, the counters at the border will continue to issue insurance policies as usual if the traveller wishes to get them manually after arriving at the centre. Obtaining insurance policies online before arriving at the Abu Samra centre will reduce the waiting period for arrivals and thus help complete the procedures for entering the country quickly, the MoI stressed.
