Indo-Tibetan Border Police sets new record, practice yoga at height of more than 22,000 feet

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) set a new record after they practiced yoga at a height of 22,850 feet in Uttarakhand. The team had undertaken an expedition last month from which they returned yesterday.
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) set a new record for practicing yoga at a high altitude. The team practiced yoga in the midst of snow at a height of 22,850 feet near Mount Abi Gamin in Uttarakhand ahead of International Yoga Day.
The team shared a video on their official Twitter account, saying, “New record of practicing Yoga at high altitude by ITBP”

On June 2, the team had scaled Mount Abi Gamin peak, a height of 24,131 feet and chanted 'Badri Vishal Ki Jai'.
Abi Gamin, located in the central Himalayas between the Mana and Niti passes on the Indo-Tibetan border, is the second highest peak in the immediate region.
