Indian Railway creates record, delivers 1,142 MT of oxygen to 14 states in single day

The Railways has completed delivery of more than 16,000 MT of LMO in one month to 14 states across the country.

Kolkata: The highest-ever single day load of more than 1,142 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) was delivered by Oxygen Expresses on Sunday (May 23), said the Ministry of Railways. The previous best 1,118 MT on May 20 2021. The Railways has completed delivery of more than 16,000 MT of LMO in one month to 14 states across the country. "Overcoming all hurdles and finding new solutions, Railways is continuing its journey of bringing relief by delivering LMO to various states across the country. So far, Railways has delivered more than 16,023 MT of LMO in more than 977 tankers to various states across the country," the Railways said in a statement.
