
India will have to keep up vaccination rate to maintain steady growth: IMF's Gita Gopinath

IMF chief economist Gita Gopinath's comments came on the backdrop of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) keeping India's growth projection unchanged at 9.5 per cent for 2021.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief economist Gita Gopinath has said that to maintain steady growth, India will have to keep up the vaccination rate, adding that public infrastructure investment will propel economic recovery, reported NDTV. Her comments came on the backdrop of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) keeping India's growth projection unchanged at 9.5 per cent for 2021. She also said that inflation and unemployment were key factors which the government will have to closely monitor.
