India vs West Indies: The BCCI on Wednesday said Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer and stand-by fast bowler Navdeep Saini were among the 7 members of the Indian team who tested positive for Covid-19 in Ahmedabad.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday, February 2 added Mayank Agarwal to India's ODI squad for the West Indies series after confirming that a total of 7 members, including 3 players and a stand-by player, in the Indian camp in Ahmedabad tested positive for Covid-19. India take on West Indies in a 3-match series from February 6 in Ahmedabad following which they will play 3 T20Is from February 16 in Kolkata.
Opening batters Shikhar Dhawan and Ruturaj Gaikwad and middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer are the three players who have tested positive for Covid-19, the BCCI said in a statement. Standby player Navdeep Saini also tested positive for Covid-19.
The BCCI Medical team is handling the positive cases and they will remain in isolation till complete recovery is attained.
"The members were asked to report in Ahmedabad on 31st January 2022 for the upcoming three-match ODI and T20I series against the West Indies. Every member was also asked to undergo an RT-PCR test at home before embarking on their journey to Ahmedabad and the travel was undertaken only after testing negative," it said.

Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and fast bowler Navdeep Saini’s (standby player) RT-PCR tests conducted on Monday (January 31) have returned positive results.
Fielding Coach T. Dilip and Security Liaison Officer B. Lokesh’s RT-PCR tests conducted on Monday (January 31) have returned positive results.
