India’s new head coach Rahul Dravid rewarded the Green Park stadium groundstaff, led by Shiv Kumar, with Rs 35,000 cash prize for preparing a sporting pitch for the first Test against New Zealand.

India head coach Rahul Dravid showed his generous side on Monday as he rewarded the Green Park Stadium ground staff Rs 35,000 for preparing a sporting pitch for the first Test which ended in a draw after New Zealand's stunning rearguard on Day 5.

India, without six of their Test regulars, did well to dominate in Kanpur against the World Test Champions but at the end, they had to settle for a draw despite some desperate attempts.
