India vs County XI: Avesh Khan, who played for County XI in Durham on Tuesday, took a blow on his left thumb after having bowled 9.5 overs against a Rohit Sharma-led Indian side in the 3-day practice game.
India's reserve fast bowler Avesh Khan suffered a thumb injury on Day 1 of their 3-day warm-up match against County Select XI on Tuesday in Durham. The Delhi Capitals fast bowler bowled 9.5 overs before he sustained a blow to his left thumb. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said Avesh Khan has been taken for scans and his progress will be monitored. Avesh had travelled with the Indian team to England as a backup pacer for the World Test Championship final and the 5-Test series against England, starting August 4.More Related News
