BJP State president and Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeswari has said India’s fight is not against Pakistan but against the terrorists sheltered by it, and that ‘Operation Sindoor’ is in response to the cold-blooded murder of tourists at Pahalgam last month.
Speaking to the media after paying tributes to Alluri Sitharama Raju on the occasion of his death anniversary at the State party office here on Wednesday, Ms. Purandeswari said the fight against terrorism had been going on for decades, as India’s most wanted terrorists like Hafiz Muhammad Saeed were holed up in the neighbouring country and carrying out his nefarious activities from a mosquethere, which was a safe haven for him.
Ms. Purandeswari said top terrorists were killed in Operation Sindoor, and pointed out that while the terrorists fleeing to Pakistan after orchestrating attacks in India in the past was the norm, the Indian Armed Forces had started retaliating with meticulous planning since 2014 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
The destruction of terrorist camps in Pakistan was a commendable move and essential because the terrorists posed a serious threat to India.
Ms. Purandeswari said the 1.40 billion people of India should speak in one voice and stand by the Armed Forces who were risking their lives for the safety of the nation.
The Central government was providing them full backing in the war on terror and they needed the moral support in these testing times.
