Inaugural Al Kass Padel Tournament Ooredoo 2022 begins

Around 120 teams, divided into different categories, are taking part in the event.

Al Kass Padel Tournament Ooredoo 2022 kicked off on Friday night with the opening day witnessing exciting matches at the 1969 Padel and More courts in Al Sadd. The tournament is being held under the patronage of CEO of Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Thani bin Khalid al-Thani. The event is also bringing together Ooredoo, Al Kass Sports Channels and the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation to focus on creating a world-class event. The 1969 Padel & More is providing the key venues for the competition, which will conclude on April 17.  The pair of Ahmed Khalil and Sultan Khalfan clinched victory in the opening match of the tournament after beating Hassan al-Mannai and Sultan al-Maliki. As many as 120 teams, divided into different categories, are taking part in the event. The category A include eight teams, category B 24 teams, category C 40 teams, with category involving 48 teams. Competitors are playing for tournament prize money totalling QR500,000. Cash prizes will be distributed to the winners of the third and fourth places as well. The matches are being broadcast live on Al Kass Sports channels.
