Anushka Sharma has added another achievement to her tremendous body of work. The actress-producer made her debut at the Cannes film festival, last week. She walked the red carpet in the capacity of a brand ambassador for cosmetic giant L'Oréal Paris. Ahead of the big red-carpet moment, Anushka Sharma shared a few behind-the-scenes glimpses of her getting ready. In a video for Vogue, she also opened up about her look for the event and her state of mind hours before walking down the red carpet. “It's my very first time so I'm really looking forward to the evening,” the star says, as she perches herself on a high chair, to get her hair and makeup attended to.
Introducing her makeup artist Puneet Saini and hairstylist Yianni Tsaptori, Anushka Sharma explains, “What happens in an event like this is–you've already done your fittings and discussed hair and makeup details with the team, so by this time it's all really about execution.”
Speaking about the prestigious film festival that hosts the best creative minds from across the world, every year, Anushka Sharma adds, “I think it's a place where so many talented people with a unique point of view, vision, and story come together to share a platform which celebrates them.”
About the plethora of opportunities for cinema lovers at the French Riviera, Anushka Sharma says, “There's so much to do here for everyone attending the festival. So many amazing movies to watch and get to interact with people that they've looked up to.”
