Illinois assault weapons ban back in effect as courts play ping pong with gun control
Fox News
An appellate judge on the 7th Circuit put a hold on a lower court order blocking Illinois from enforcing its "assault weapons" ban, putting the law back into effect.
The law, signed by Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker in January, includes penalties for anyone who, "Carries or possesses… Manufactures, sells, delivers, imports, or purchases any assault weapon or .50 caliber rifle."
