Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism and Culture R.K. Roja on October 24 (Tuesday) launched a scathing attack against Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu, over the latter’s ‘Nijam Gelavali’ (Truth should triumph) yatra, scheduled to begin on October 25 .
Referring to Ms. Bhuvanweswari offering prayers at the Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala on October 24, the Minister said that she wished for the truth to win.
“The truth must triumph and it will happen when Mr. Naidu would be jailed,” she said.
“If Ms. Bhuvaneswari wishes the truth to win then she must ask for a CBI inquiry into the skill development scam case. If the truth wins all the directors of the Heritage group will also be jailed,” said Ms. Roja.
Pooh-poohing the recent meeting between Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh, the Minister remarked that people of the State were amused as “both the half zeroes sitting on either side of the table not only discussed the full zero inside the Rajahmundry prison but also on the modalities to be worked out in steering the parties ahead and working for the people.”
She said that the TDP leaders did not have the courage to tell people as to what promises they had fulfilled as specified in their election manifestos, despite remaining in the power for 14 years.
“Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has not only fulfilled 98% of his promises but also is appealing to the people to vote for him if only they feel that the government has done something for them,” she said.
