If Congress can contest in Bengal, why can’t TMC fight in Goa: Mamata Banerjee

Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday lashed out at the political pushback against her party’s expansion plans, saying if the Congress can contest in West Bengal, then the TMC is free to do the same in Goa.

Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday lashed out at the political pushback against her party’s plans to expand outside of West Bengal, soon after the drubbing the TMC suffered at the hands of the BJP in the Tripura civic body polls.

“I want to see BJP out of this country politically. If Congress is contesting in Bengal, why can’t I do so in Goa?,” Mamata Banerjee said during an interaction with members of the civil society in Mumbai.
