Shelby Rogers said she was expecting to receive "nine million death threats" on social media following her fourth round US Open defeat to Great Britain's Emma Raducanu.
The American lost 6-2 6-1 just two days after stunning No. 1 seed Ash Barty, saying she struggled to reset mentally after that huge upset win. "Obviously, we appreciate the spotlight in those moments, but then, you know, you have today and I'm going to have nine million death threats and whatnot," she told reporters after Monday's match.
