Hunter Biden's private LA art show renews conflict-of-interest concerns

Hunter Biden is facing renewed questions about whether his art career could pose a conflict of interest for his father's work in the Oval Office after recent images from a glitzy private showing shot across social media.
Last weekend, images posted on social media and shared in the press emerged showing Hunter Biden displaying his work in Los Angeles at Milk Studios -- a Hollywood venue that typically hosts video and photo shoots.
One attendee at the LA event was the city's mayor, Eric Garcetti -- President Joe Biden's nominee to be the next US ambassador to India and a former national co-chair of his 2020 presidential campaign. Harrison Wollman, the press secretary for Garcetti's office, confirmed that the mayor had attended the show but said he did not purchase any art.
In the days and weeks leading up Hunter Biden’s trial on felony gun charges, President Joe Biden made little attempt to distance himself from his son. Instead, Hunter Biden was seen at the White House and in Delaware at his father’s side amid what the president’s allies acknowledge is a difficult moment for both men.
