Hungarian press praises Qatar

The streets and public places in Debrecen were decorated with Qatari flags and pictures of the national team’s players. QFA launched promotional campaigns both in Debrecen and on its social media platforms.

The Hungarian press highlighted the participation of Qatar national team in the European qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, praising the promotional campaign launched by Qatar Football Association (QFA) in Debrecen, which will host Al Annabi’s matches against Serbia and Portugal. The streets and public places in Debrecen were decorated with Qatari flags and pictures of the national team’s players. QFA launched promotional campaigns both in Debrecen and on its social media platforms. The Hungarian newspapers praised QFA’s efforts which published many advertisements in English, Serbian and Arabic languages, prompting the praise by the Arab community in Serbia. The newspapers highlighted the journey of the Qatar national team in these qualifiers and praised its winning of the 2019 Asian Cup title. Reports shed light on Aspire Academy, referring to the institution as the centre of sports life in Qatar which gathers talented youth from all over the world, and builds excellent athletes in remarkable conditions. Players from the Academy have shone at the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship, the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, and the Qatari team’s distinguished performance in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Reports underlined that Qatar has all the ingredients for success, in addition to talented players, most notably Akram Afif who is one of the best football players in Qatar Stars League.
