House committee advances legislation including deeper look into government UFO reports

The House Intelligence committee voted to send the Intelligence Authorization Act for a full vote, including provisions that would give the public a closer look at UFOs.

Additionally, the bill would also ask the comptroller general to evaluate efforts by the intelligence community "to obfuscate, manipulate public opinion, hide or otherwise, provide unclassified or classified misinformation" about UFO's.
Once the review is completed, an unclassified report will be sent to Congress. However, the report can contain a classified annex.
