dpaBerlin Title-holders Chelsea are on the verge of the Champions League last 16 after Hakim Ziyech struck the only goal for a 1-0 win away to Malmo on Tuesday.Ziyech finished a delightful cross from Callum Hudson-Odoi at the back post in the 56th minute to break the resistance of the determined hosts.Malmo remain bottom of Group H without a goal or point but an organized and disciplined display largely frustrated Chelsea, who were without injured forwards Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.Chelsea on nine points are level with Juventus, who can qualify for the knock-outs with two games to spare with a home draw against Zenit St Petersburg later.New Wolfsburg coach Florian Kohfeldt enjoyed a winning debut in the Champions League with a 2-1 victory over Red Bull Salzburg thanks to a fantastic finish from Lukas Nmecha on the hour.Maximilian Woeber’s excellent free kick in the 30th minute had levelled for Salzburg after Ridle Baku’s third minute opener gave the hosts the advantage.Salzburg remain top of Group G on seven points, two ahead of Wolfsburg, while Lille (two) host Sevilla (three) later.In other matches the 2020 winners Bayern Munich can reach the last 16 with a home draw against Benfica while Barcelona and Manchester United face tricky trips to Dynamo Kiev and Atalanta respectively.
