Doha: Recognizing the growing need for dedicated, state-of-the-art physiotherapy services in the northern region of Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital has announced the opening of a new Physiotherapy Outpatient Department for male patients, commencing Sunday 28 July 2024. This marks the first phase of the expansion process and reflects its ongoing commitment to cater to the increasing demand for specialized physiotherapy services in the region.

Based on statistical reports and analysis, there is a growing demand for physiotherapy services, with an estimated 60% of patients being male. “This expansion will promote better accessibility to care, reduce waiting times, improve the quality of care and enhance patient satisfaction,” stated Ms. Refaa Al Enazi, Director of Rehabilitation Services who spearhead the project. “We are delighted to introduce our comprehensive physiotherapy services, designed to provide the best care, enhance physical performance and ensure fastest recovery possible for our patients. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest innovative rehabilitative technology and staffed by a team of highly qualified and experienced physiotherapists.”

“We are excited to announce the opening of our physiotherapy outpatient service, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to providing accessible and high-quality healthcare to the community. This expansion will allow us to better meet the needs of our patients by offering convenient and comprehensive care to improving health outcomes,” said Dr. Ibrahim Mohd. Fawzy M A Hassan, Medical Director of Aisha Al Attiya Hospital.

“This opening is a crucial step for improving rehabilitation services in the northern region of Qatar. We are thrilled to introduce our male physiotherapy service which represents a significant advancement in our commitment to patient care. Our goal is to offer tailored, high-quality care that helps our patients achieve optimal recovery. Additionally, we are planning further expansions to include more comprehensive rehabilitation services in the future. By addressing the high demand for physiotherapy, we aim to set a new standard for patient care and overall well-being in the region. We are confident that this expansion will make a positive impact for the community, providing much-needed services to improve the health and quality of life for our patients,” emphasized Dr. Hanadi Alhamad, Deputy Chief for Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, Home Care Services & Geriatric Care and Lead of Corporate Rehabilitation Therapy Services at Hamad Medical Corporation.

“Our dedicated team is committed to offering customized treatment plans that address a wide range of conditions to male patients aged 15 and above including orthopaedic pre- and post-surgical care, musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain management.” Dr. Hanadi has added.
