Hiran Manusk death: Thane court asks ATS to stop investigation, handover probe to NIA

The chief magistrate court at Thane has ordered the Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad (ATS) to stop investigation into the Hiran Mansukh probe and handover case papers to National Investigating Agency (NIA).

The chief magistrate court in Mumbai's Thane has ordered the Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra to stop investigation into the Hiran Mansukh probe and handover case papers to National Investigating Agency (NIA). The (NIA), which is probing the Antilia bomb scare case, had filed an application before the Thane magistrate court asking for transfer of ATS probe to NIA. Vaze's NIA custody will end on March 25 and the agency is likely to move to extend custody. In the meantime, the agency has also filed an application seeking additional charges of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act to be added.
