Himachal Pradesh has cancelled Class 12 examinations for the year 2020-21. The decision came a few days after the Centre announced the cancellation of Class 12 CBSE exams over the pandemic situation. The Government has decided that the HP Board of School Education will devise a formula to evaluate the students of Class 12 and declare the final results accordingly. For students not satisfied with the results, the Himachal Pradesh board will also be allowed to appear in a special examination. The special exams will be conducted once the situation arising out of Covid is conducive to conduct the examination. The decision to cancel the Class 10+2 HP board exams was taken in a Cabinet Meeting held today, June 5, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. A statement issued in this regard said: "..HP Board of School Education would devise a formula for calculating the awards of the students keeping in view the formula being devised by the CBSE and declare the final results accordingly." The board has already cancelled Class 10 final exams after considering the rising number of Covid cases in the state. The board is now devising ways as to how the Class 10 students will be promoted.More Related News
