All gatherings and protests near educational institutions have been banned by the police in Bengaluru for two weeks amid the escalating row over the use of hijab in educational institutions.
Yesterday, Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai ordered the closure of all high schools and colleges for three days "to maintain peace and harmony".
