A crash has closed Highway 17 between Markstay and Hagar east of Sudbury on Tuesday morning.

A crash has closed Highway 17 between Markstay and Hagar east of Sudbury on Tuesday morning.

The road is closed in both directions from Main Street North and Nepewassi Lake Road South in Markstay to Highway 5335 in Hagar.

The Ministry of Transportation said it happened around 8:45 a.m.

No word yet from Ontario Provincial Police on the number of vehicles involved or if there are any injuries.

The estimated reopening time is also unknown.
