India has been reporting over two lakh cases for almost a week as states struggle with oxygen shortage to treat infected patients. PM Modi today held a virtual meeting with the vaccine manufacturers and urged them to continuously scale up their production capacity to inoculate all Indians in the shortest possible time. On Monday, the Centre opened up vaccinations for all above the age of 18 to fight the deadly virus. Many states, including Maharashtra and Rajasthan, have imposed strict restrictions on the movement of people and night curfews as cases continue to spiral.
