As clubs return for preseason and the work of preparing for the next year begins in earnest, the transfer market is heating up with big names coming and going. Welcome to this week's Here We Go transfer notebook. Let's dive right in:  Raphael Varane is an important target and Manchester United are currently working on acquiring him. The team and player have reached an agreement on personal terms while United and Madrid are coming closer on agreeing a transfer, with an official bid from United expected to be accepted in the coming days. But Varane will be respectful with Real Madrid because he does not want to break his relationship with the club and the president Florentino Perez. Manchester United is his desire though, and there are no other clubs involved in the negotiation for the future of Varane, neither Paris Saint-Germain nor Tottenham despite rumors. For now, the contacts with Real Madrid will continue as Manchester United seek to reach and complete the agreement for Varane.
