In its charge sheet in the Hathras case, the UP STF said Kerala journalist Siddique Kappan was planning riots in Hathras following the death of a Dalit girl that sparked unrest.
Uttar Pradesh STF has filed a charge sheet against Kerala-based journalist Siddique Kappan. Arrested in October of last year, Kappan has been booked under the stringent UAPA on charges of plotting riots in the aftermath of the death of a Dalit girl in UP's Hathras. A team of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) was probing the alleged conspiracy involving unrest in Hathras following the alleged rape and murder of a Dalit girl. In its 5,000-page charge sheet filed in a Mathura court, the STF has named Siddique Kappan among eight individuals with links to banned outfit Popular Front of India (PFI). The other accused include Ateek ur Rahman, Masood Ahmed, Rauf Sherif, Ansad Badruddin, Firoz and Danish.More Related News
