Haryana Doctors Withdraw Protest After Demand For Specialised Post Met

Haryana's government doctors had staged a protest demanding the formation of specialized cadre, revision of postgraduate policy and a stop on direct recruitment to the post of senior medical officers.
Haryana Civil Medical Service Association (HCMS) doctors on Thursday withdrew their agitation after a consensus was reached between them and the state government. #HaryanaGovt held a successful meeting with #HCMS doctors today in a congenial environment. After the consensus reached on various issues between the Govt & doctors in the meeting, all the doctors decided to withdraw the agitation.#Haryana#DIPRHaryana
"After a consensus was reached between the government and the HCMS doctors, all the doctors withdrew the agitation. The government has welcomed the decision of the doctors," said a tweet from DPR, Haryana.
The Haryana government on Tuesday invoked the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) barring strike by any form of employees for six months in view of protest by government doctors over their demands amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
