Harbhajan Singh reacts to Rahul Dravid bowling spin in India nets: Grip is too wide jam

India vs West Indies: Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh reacted to head coach Rahul Dravid bowling spin in the nets ahead of the second ODI at Ahmedabad on the anniversary of Anil Kumble's 10-wicket haul.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh reacted to Rahul Dravid's spin-bowling in India's net session in Ahmedabad, saying the bowling wouldn't turn much as the head coach's grip was too wide. Notably, Dravid bowled spin in the nets ahead of the second ODI at Ahmedabad to mark the anniversary of Anil Kumble's 10-wicket haul on Monday, February 6.

The Board of Control for cricket shared the images and captioned the post: "Celebrating the 23rd anniversary of @anilkumble1074's 10-74." Harbhajan retweeted the BCCI post and wrote, "Grip is too wide jam .. won’t be able to spin as much you like."

Kumble, on February 7, 1999, became only the second bowler in international cricket to pick up all 10 wickets in an innings of a Test match when he ran through Pakistan's batting line-up in an engrossing Test match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

Anil Kumble became the first Indian and the second after Australia's Jim Laker, who was the first cricketer to scalp 10 wickets in a Test innings in 1956. Kumble bowled 26.3 overs in the 2nd Test of a 2-match series in India. Kumble's historic feat helped India beat Pakistan by 212 runs and level the series at 1-1.

Notably, Harbhajan was also part of India's bowling line-up in the said Test. The off-spinner, then playing only his 4th Test, bowled 18 overs but went wicketless in the final innings.

Kumble, meanwhile, welcomed New Zealand's Ajaz Patel to the "perfect 10 club" last year. The left-arm spinner from New Zealand picked up all 10 wickets in an innings against India in a Test match in Mumbai. He became only the third man to achieve the landmark.
