Hamad Nasser al-Qadi astride Gibria-B clinched the Big Tour class during the 12th and final round of the Longines Qatar Equestrian Tour Hathab on Friday. At the Longines Indoor Arena of Al Shaqab, al-Qadi and his nine-year-old mare Gibria-B secured a thrilling win in the 145cm class. The pair stopped the clock at 64.87 seconds, a mere 0.12 seconds ahead of second-placed combination Mohamed Saeed Haidan and D Saucedo. Al-Qadi, who had won the His Highness The Amir Sword equestrian championship earlier this year, took home QR6250 in prize money. Saturday, Al-Qadi will look to finish the season on a high on the final day of the fourth edition of the championship. Friday, Haidan and 11-year-old stallion D Saucedo completed their round in an impressive time of 64.99 second but had to settle for silver. In third place was Faleh Suwead al-Ajami on Demilion, who came home in 67.95 seconds.
