QNADohaThe Asian Equestrian Federation’s Ordinary General Assembly, chaired by President of the Asian and Qatar Equestrian Federations Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah, discussed a number of issues and decisions related to the sport.In its annual assembly, which was held on Friday via video communication technology, the event identified the levels and technical details of the equestrian sports to be held in the Asian Games in 2022 in the Chinese city of Hangzhou. It discussed the possibility of strengthening and developing the committee of referees and coaches because of its prominent role that is reflected in the performance of the jockeys.The members also held discussions about the International Equestrian Federation’s organization of Asian Continental Championship 2023, as they discussed the possibility of hosting it in one of the member states such as Thailand, which had hosted this tournament in 2019, or any other country.It was also decided to hold elections for the presidency of the regional groups in the Asian Equestrian Federation from the first group to the fifth group.The meeting was attended by Secretary of the Asian Equestrian Federation Badr bin Mohammed Al Darwish, in addition to presidents of 25 national federations, the Olympic Council of Asia, the International Equestrian Federation, and the Organizing Committee for the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
