Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control (Gulf CDC) announced the publication of its first Gulf Cancer Registry report for the period 2013-2020, marking the Center's first coordinated regional release.
This step reflects its commitment to strengthening joint GCC efforts in epidemiological surveillance and advancing health data systems that support evidence-informed decision-making.
The launch of this report reaffirms the Center's commitment to supporting regional efforts to raise awareness and intensify joint initiatives for cancer prevention and control, in line with GCC health priorities and in a manner that enhances the preparedness of health systems to address the challenges of noncommunicable diseases.
This publication represents an important milestone toward improving the outputs of the Gulf Cancer Registry and supporting evidence-based health planning, contributing to greater GCC integration and guiding preventive programs based on the region's needs.
It also underscores continued collaboration with partners in Member States to develop specialized health registries and support the establishment of an integrated Gulf health information system that advances public health goals and improves quality of life across GCC countries
