Greg McElroy already saw one Tim Tebow tight end experiment. That was enough for him.
McElroy was the other Jets quarterback in the ill-fated 2012 season after the team acquired Tebow from the Broncos. He thinks the Jaguars giving him a chance is a “stupid move.” “[The Jets] tried switching him to tight end, and he wasn’t good,” McElroy said last week while hosting on Sirius XM.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
