• NFL playoffs get underway: It’s the first of three days full of NFL playoff action as the wild card round kicks off. • Packers-Bears: The Green Bay Packers are sucking the life out of Soldier Field, jumping all over their old rivals by grabbing a 21-3 lead over the Chicago Bears at halftime. The Packers are totally dominating the Bears, who can’t seem to stop going for it on fourth down and turning it over on downs. • The Rams survive a challenge in Carolina: Everyone expected the Los Angeles Rams to ease by the Carolina Panthers in the day’s opening game. Instead, the NFC South champions gave the Rams all they could handle, forcing Matthew Stafford to lead his team to a come-from-behind victory in the final seconds. The Rams advance with a 34-31 victory. • Live updates: Stick with CNN Sports all night as we provide live updates and analysis from Packers-Bears. Just as time expired in the first half, Packers kicker Brandon McManus missed a 55-yard field goal.
