Government issues advisory for parents and teachers on online gaming

Advisory has been issued to parents and teachers on children’s safety online gaming by the government.

Covid-19 pandemic has made students more dependent on technology. On the one hand, students are using mobile phones to attend online classes, while on the other hand, they are also getting addicted to mobile games.

Online games can either be played on the internet itself or from another computer network. Online games can almost be found anywhere on any gaming platform, such as PCs, consoles, and mobile devices. Online gaming can be accessed with the use of a phone or a tablet, which is a common factor in online game addiction, because children can easily play games anywhere, anytime, affecting their time for their school and social life. Furthermore, the closure of schools due to the pandemic has increased the use of phones and the internet by children.
