GOP reps get birds-up view of migrant crossings during border tour, eye legislative fixes to tackle crisis

A Republican delegation from the House Homeland Security Committee toured the border in a "border bootcamp" this week in El Paso, Texas as they eye legislative fixes.

Rep. Nick Lalota, R-NY., told Fox News Digital on Saturday that the trip was "very informative." Adam Shaw is a politics reporter for Fox News Digital, primarily covering immigration and border security.

"I had been privy to a lot of the statistics and the figures of how the Biden administration has failed us at the border. But being able to see it firsthand and see the hard work of our Border Patrol agents has inspired me a lot now," he said in an interview.
