Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro may get four Android updates, five years of security patches

It was earlier predicted that Google will provide extended software support to its upcoming Pixel phones. Yet another speculation now confirms the same, sharing some details of how these updates will be rolled out.
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will mark their debut at a Google event scheduled for October 19. Much information about the phones is already out before their launch. Not all of it is officially confirmed though, and we are still dealing with some grey areas when it comes to knowing everything about the new Pixel smartphones.
New speculation has reiterated that the smartphones by Google will get extended software support. It is being hinted that Google will provide a total of four Android updates to the phones, which will already ship with Android 12. In addition, there will be five years of security patches for the two smartphones.
