Google Messages working on features that will allow users to pin conversations and star messages

In a teardown of Google Messages 8.1.05, it was found that the chat app was working on features that allow users to pin up to three conversations.

Google Messages could soon allow users to pin conversations and star mark their favourite messages. The features, though basic, allow users to pin the most important conversation threads and star-mark important messages so users can easily find them. Marking messages as their favourite or star marking messages lets users keep track of important messages. Another feature that Google Messages is said to be working on is the ability for users to star-mark messages which they will be able to spot through the search feature. All the starred messages on the app will have a star badge, making it easier for users to spot them. The features have not been rolled out yet and were spotted in a teardown of Google Messages 8.1.050 by XDA developers. Google could roll out these features or could also do away with them since the threads of these features were only found in the APK version.
