New codes spotted in the latest beta version of Google Play Services hint that the company might be looking to establish a crowdsourced network for location tracking.

The speculation arises from a new code spotted in the latest version of Google Play Services. The findings suggest that Google will make use of Google Play Services on Android devices to create this useful network and enable it for location tracking. The code has been spotted by XDA Developers in Google Play Services version 21.24.13 that rolled out for beta users on Thursday. It was found to contain strings clearly mentioning the name and functionality of the upcoming feature.
