Google is celebrating Mother’s Day today (May 8) by sharing an adorable doodle. The sweet animated GIF that can be seen instead of the original Google logo shows different ways a mother nurtures and takes care of her child.
The doodle consists of four slides, showing the different types of motherly love. In the first slide, the child can be seen holding their mother’s finger with their tiny hands. In the second slide, the mother teaches braille (the language taught to visually-impaired children). In the third slide, both the child and the mother can be seen washing their hands, indicating the lesson of hygiene.
In the last slide, the mother and the child plant a sapling together, indicating their love towards Mother Nature as well.

Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother at St Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia. In India, the second Sunday of May every year is celebrated as Mother's Day. This year it is being celebrated on Sunday, May 8.
