Goa Ex-Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane Gets "Lifetime Cabinet Status"

The decision to accord him the honour was taken as former chief minister Pratapsingh Rane has completed 50 years as a legislator in the Goa Assembly during the current tenure.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said the state cabinet has decided to give permanent status of a cabinet minister to former chief minister Pratapsingh Rane. Our Government has decided to grant lifelong Cabinet status to the senior most legislator, Shri Pratapsingh Rane ji, for his great service to the State of Goa. Mr Rane is currently a Congress MLA representing Poriem Assembly segment.
Talking to reporters, Mr Sawant said that the cabinet has decided to give status of a permanent cabinet minister to Mr Rane, who is a former chief minister and ex-speaker of the Goa legislative Assembly.
