Hundreds of Android phone users stumbled on an unusual incident on their phone yesterday. Nearly all their apps were crashing randomly sending these users into a mad frenzy. Now, when the app crashes, there is a popup on the screen that needs users to take certain actions. But, to their dismay, these actions would not do anything. Some of the apps that were crashing included Gmail, Google, Chrome, Hangouts, Call of Duty Mobile, among others. Considering these apps are important, people were left high and dry after the crashing began. But then, Google came through. It was quick to figure out the problem and fixed it sometime later. In line with its discovery that said the Android WebView app is what caused several Android apps to crash on the phone, Google said it has fixed the issue. The tech giant released an update to Android WebView that included a fix and installing it is likely to restore your phone back to normal. Android WebView is an Android system app that is responsible for showing web pages over the apps that do not have an inbuilt browser. The app leverages Chrome to offer quick previews of websites that you want to open inside such an app. And since this is an important part of the Android system, Google could not let the issue run rampant. However, despite the fix, some people are still not sure how they can fix the crashing issue on their phone.More Related News
