(CNN) — It was August 2011 and Natasha Fisher was 17 and traveling from her home in England to the United States for the first time, desperate to spend a summer in New York living out a fantasy she'd only ever seen in TV and film. "I was like, 'it's not New York City,' but I've got nothing else to do, it was the summer. I'm thinking: 'It's Philadelphia, that's cool; it's Pittsburgh, that's cool.'
