Giants will open 2021 NFL season against Broncos
NY Post
The Giants will start the season against their old coach, not their hated rival.
To the disappointment of fans who are champing at the bit for a shot at the Eagles, the Giants will open the season at home Sept. 12 against the Broncos, a source told The Post. Pat Shurmur, who was 9-23 as Giants head coach in 2018-19 before he was replaced by Joe Judge, is the Broncos offensive coordinator. Now the big question: Will Aaron Rodgers be making his Broncos debut at MetLife Stadium? Denver is thought to be one of the leading landing spots if the Packers reverse course and trade their disgruntled quarterback.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
