Giants’ Kenny Golladay suffers hamstring injury on day rookie WR returns
NY Post
One shiny new receiving weapon returned to the Giants just as another went out.
The good vibes created Tuesday by rookie first-round pick Kadarius Toney’s training camp debut didn’t last long because $72 million free-agent acquisition Kenny Golladay left practice with a trainer after clutching his hamstring. Golladay’s history with hamstring-induced absences include five games missed as a Lions rookie in 2017 and two more missed last season. Toney was in and out of voluntary OTAs and mandatory minicamp — completing just one full spring practice — because of an array of equipment issues, injuries and a then-unsigned contract. He opened training camp on the COVID-19/reserve list and was eased back before joining Tuesday’s offensive and special teams individual drills and 11-on-11 walkthroughs for the first time.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
