Giants activate Evan Neal off PUP list with role uncertain
NY Post
Evan Neal is officially back, but he returns with questions about his role.
The Giants activated the 2022 first-round pick off the physically unable to perform list (PUP) on Sunday, and the offensive lineman is set to partake in individual drills for the first time all offseason.
The 23-year-old out of Alabama had ankle surgery in January and appeared to suffer a setback in OTAs.
Neal has yet to live up to the billing of a No. 7 overall pick and his immediate future is unclear.
Head coach Brian Daboll last week ruled out a move to guard for Neal, who has started at right tackle.
Free-agent signing Jermaine Eluemunor has been working at right tackle during training camp opposite franchise left tackle Andrew Thomas.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
