"I've been trying to go the route Paul Newman did," the two-time Oscar winner said.
George Clooney says he won’t be smooching any more women on screen after having a discussion with his wife, Amal Clooney, about his age.
Speaking with The Daily Mail, the two-time Oscar winner and dapper leading man, 64, revealed that he’s decided to no longer kiss any female co-stars.
“I’ve been trying to go the route Paul Newman did: ‘OK, well, I’m not kissing a girl anymore,’” he explained in the story that was published Dec. 12. “When I turned 60, I had a conversation with my wife. I said, ‘Look, I can still play basketball with the boys. I play with 25-year-old guys... I can still hang, I’m in shape.’”
The A-Lister added, “But in 25 years, I’m 85 years old. It doesn’t matter how many granola bars you eat, that’s a real number.”
Clooney, who kicked off his acting career in the ’80s, has gone down in history as one of Hollywood’s most famous romantic leads. He’s starred in multiple movies opposite top female actors, including Michelle Pfeiffer in “One Fine Day,” Julia Roberts in “Ticket to Paradise” and Jennifer Lopez in “Out of Sight.”
